India, with its young and aspirational population, possesses an enormous amount of talent. Unfortunately, most of this talent cannot be unearthed due to lack of opportunity, the sheer number of people available for each opening, the limitations of reach and exposure, a non-explorative system of selection based on a few pre-set criteria – among other such factors
We, at PlacementBee, aim to provide a platform to students of all disciplines across all locations in India to showcase their skills and aptitude to an audience of global recruiters. We aim to create a completely meritocratic selection process eliminating the advantages of location and exposure. We aim to democratize campus placements; currently the domain of a few top companies who visit a small percentage of top colleges. From the largest recruiter looking for suitable candidates for various posts and across regions to the recruiter looking for a single professional – the PlacementBee platform serves all. This platform is beneficial for the candidates, the colleges and the businesses looking to recruit.

Despite being a labour surplus country, talent identification in India remains a difficult and expensive activity. Sourcing and screening of candidates are manpower intensive activities with large overheads. Expanding the sourcing of talent beyond traditional means remains prohibitively expensive.
We have reached out to each and every college in India with the offer to organize an aptitude test for their students. This test will be held at the college premises under strict examination conditions with an independent observer present throughout to maintain the sanctity of the examination. This test is taken through our own ‘App’ and constantly monitored remotely for any suspicious activity. We understand that a large section of our population is underprivileged and we do not charge any money for organizing this examination – from either the college or the candidates. From the recruiter point of view, we guarantee more than 80% reduction in costs per hire

Our Story

The origin of PlacementBee can be traced directly to Prajnanananda Educational Service. Prajnanananda Educational Service or PES as we refer to it, has extensive experience of recruitment for over 20 years. From the Indian Army, SAIL to various Universities, PSU’s, Govt. Bodies are among the clients of PES.

The entire top management and quite a few of the employees are shared between the two organisations. PES is focused towards Government examinations while PlacementBee is geared to serve the recruitment needs of private businesses.

We have the unique experience of very large-scale skill assessment - Government examinations which are extremely sensitive in nature. This expertise and vast experience make the model of business for PlacementBee feasible as we can guarantee the quality of our assessment. Our model for exam delivery has been used in various recruitment tests and we have never failed to deliver zero error, zero problem examinations. We have a team of retired professors involved in question authoring and each question is peer reviewed in the team before it is added to our system.

We have leveraged this experience to qualitatively evaluate each graduate in India and present that data in a quantitative form for comparison. We continuously try to develop features which would help in recruitment for companies and keep adding to our resources section for the candidates to be better prepared.
